Minnesota

Headin' to Minnesota to see the family. Tucked up in a Manitoba Super-8 which is super-comfy and has free internet access.
We crossed some of Alberta, all of Saskatchewan, and a bit of Manitoba. I don't have to paint an evocative word-picture of this. Just picture the movie "Fargo", add some farm odours, and imagine five or six cups of slightly overstewed Tim Horton's coffee and you've mostly got it. But it wasn't all bland. Stars were everywhere, bright as real diamonds, and the northern lights were psychedelic. Worth the snow whipping-lashing across the highway and some sour coffee? Of course. Seeing my family and spending time with Richard are always worth that, and much much worse.
Gotta sleep.
