Nancy Grace

Is it just me, or is CNN's Nancy Grace a complete bitch? For half an hour she's been chewing out the parents of Jessica Lunsford, the 9-year-old girl apparently abducted from her bedroom last week. "Why don't you know more? What's going on? Get with the program. Mark Klass didn't do it that way." Nag nag nag. Their daughter's missing, they're trying to get the word out, and this crazy lady acts like she's on Firing Line or something. She was trying to provoke them, get them infuriated instead of depressed and desperate. What is it with this aggressive interviewing lately? There's even a school in D.C. where execs can learn how to be a**holes on TV talk shows. They're taught the filibuster technique of getting their points across: Just talk talk talk and don't let anyone stop you. And the hosts seem to be following the same advice. There must be a happy medium for talking heads. You don't have to just smile and nod vacantly like Jay Leno, but you don't have to behave like you're in a wild west shootout with the parents of missing kids, either.
