Wintertime, and the livin' ain't easy...

Lots of snow. Hoping to drive to Minnesota this week to visit my family, despite bizarro weather.

Going to the matinee of Les Belles Seours by Michel Tremblay (see poster in a previous post) with friends the Valkenburgs today. I've already seen the set: A cavernous, grungy 1960s Montreal kitchen stuffed with all kinds of stuff I couldn't identify. Catholic relics and strange pickled things and - get this - a 1950s toaster that only browned one side of the bread at a time. Looks cool.

I was planning to separate the hamsters before we leave the city for Minnesota, but would they get lonely? They don't squabble much, even when Tweak tries to cat-nap in the corner and Butters steps on her head about a dozen times just for the hell of it. But Tweak is getting chubby while Butters is fur and bones - someone is obviously hogging the food.

I just added a tagboard (real-time, easy-to-use message board) to Dignity: A Journal of Human Rights.
