According to cbc.ca, the pope has been stabilized and is resting comfortably. CNN only says he was given last rites and is suffering a high fever.

It has nothing to do with resources at all. It's called "spin". It's called "ideology". CNN is merely trying to paint a more negative and dire picture. This is what makes news in the US.
