Mad.

My Grandpa's older sister Betty died a couple days ago in an Alzheimer's unit in southern Minnesota. Get this - Betty's daughters didn't tell anyone in the family. Grandpa found out his sister had died only after his niece's husband (my godfather, Bob) happened to see the obituary in the paper.

Bob's wife, Janet, has looked after Betty and Grandpa's other sisters faithfully for years, and Betty's kids just didn't bother to tell her that her aunt had died. In fact, she was at the nursing home visiting Auntie Helen at the very same time Bob noticed Betty's obituary in the newspaper.

Some people have no respect.

Janet emailed me the obit. We're still trying to figure out where she got 8 great-grandchildren!
There's a visitation, but no funeral listed. I guess they want it private. NO PROBLEM!!
I'll forward you the obit.

Yeah, like they quit farming in 1998? WTF? They quit farming before you were born!

Isn't someone from the family supposed to supply obituary info? Did somebody at the paper just make some stuff up, or what?

I'm sure the quartet of idiots supplied the info.
