I had to re-schedule my sleep class when I got the flu, but I'm happy to report that I've been sleeping normally for a little over a week now. Awake days, asleep nights: What a concept. Now when I do begin sleep training, I just have to find out how to maintain it.
We just started getting the Turner Classic Movies channel, and Richard is becoming hooked on obscure WWII movies and B Westerns. Eek. All last night I could hear bits and pieces: "Wull, pa, let's rustle up some o' them varmints afore they done leave town..."
I really have to finish up the Christmas shopping so I can get packages in the mail, but I'm having a hard time finding what I'm looking for in the downtown core. I think I may have to hop on a bus and venture out to - *gulp* - the big mall. In late November. This will not be pretty.
Update on "Things That Make You Go 'Bllllggghhh'": I IM'ed with my friend this morning, and it sounds like her hubby is making a pledge to quit chatting, which is a first. No word on the spelling, though. ;)
I'm keeping my pledge (to myself) to stay away from the Christmas decorations until after American Thanksgiving. I found out that Sharon, wife of the car-mural Doug, is also a Christmas junkie (and Norwegian - no coincidence there). She pledged not to touch the decorations until December, but when Doug wasn't looking she confided, "I've got stuff he doesn't even know about yet, hehe."
Now I've gotta quit blogging and hustle over to the printers with my program.

Christmas freaks of the world UNITE!! I MUST meet Sharon, that's my kinda girl.
If you go to the mall, you can have Chinese food at our favorite food court place! YUM!
Might make the trip worth it. Heehee.
While you guys are shopping, I'm gonna join Richard for some good movie viewin. John Wayne, Walter Brennan, Andy Devine, Chill Wills. The hero's of my youth! Then of course, there is Clint! NOTHIN' better than a spaghetti western. Fist Full Of Dollars, Hang Em High, High Plains Drifter, A Mule For Sister Sarah, The Good, The Bad, The Ugly... I watch each of these a couple of times a year!
They don't amke them like that any more!
You'd LOVE my John Wayne collection, GWB!
Joe Kidd is my fav Clint western.
Then there's Tom Selleck. Quigley Down Under is my all-time fav. His made-for-TV, Louis L-Amour westerns are terrific!
I'm afraid if you and Doug got together, you'd spend your time discussing politics. Doug is a politics junkie!
Richard has The Good the Bad and the Ugly. Damn, that's a long movie...But right now he's on an epic quest to find a copy of "Titus", which he just saw on TV. Also a long movie! Not one of my favourites, either. The gross side of Shakespeare.
