I still don't understand the Da Vinci Code lawsuit. If the stuff in Holy Blood, Holy Grail is factual (I doubt it), how can Brown be accused of stealing the "ideas" in it? You can't steal facts. The questionable documents and standard historical sources on which the authors based their weirdo premise ("Christ faked his crucifixion and eloped to France") are available to anyone with a library card.

I have lots more to say about Brown and Holy Grail - after all, my screen name is directly linked to the whole thing. But that's for another day. For now I'll leave you with a quote from the other Holy Grail...

"Come and see the violence inherent in the system. Help! Help! I'm being repressed! "

What lawsuit?

Dan Brown's being sued by Michael Baigent and Richard Leigh, two of the British guys who wrote "Holy Blood, Holy Grail" in the '70s. It's nonfiction, but they're saying he stole their ideas for The Da Vinci Code.
