Same Ol' Saturday Night

Time to go to a cafe and have a tea alone. Then come home and watch Dateline or perhaps 48 Hours Mystery alone, depending on whether I want to be scared spitless by a story that will "save your life, even though you can't do anything about it!" or if I want to watch another blow-by-blow of a wife murder in some affluent notch of the Bible Belt. Then, if I don't fall asleep, I'll watch SNL alone and wonder why the hell they have so many re-runs.
Richard seems to think men hit on me when I go to cafes by myself. I can't get him to understand that no one speaks to me, ever, for any reason, unless they want a) directions or b) pocket change.
Tomorrow night is my first meeting with the one-acts committee. A few friendly faces there, but also some hostile ones. One member hasn't spoken to me since way back when Richard was doing the programs for the theatre, and couldn't decipher the guy's handwritten bio. I told him "my last performance was illaudable" looked an awful lot like "my last performance was inaudible." I guessed wrong.

What's wrong with these Alberta guys that they are not hitting on an attractive young womam sitting by herself in a cafe? Has Edmonton become San Francisco north?

Oh, same old, same old. SNL was indeed a rerun. Nice to get out for a bit, though.
