In the immortal words of Cole Porter, it's too f***ing hot.
You know when it's so cold that your skin starts to burn? That's how it is now. Air conditioning and ice cubes have no effect on me anymore because extreme cold feels just the same as extreme heat: If it wasn't for the sweat, I might as well be frostbitten. Even the hamsters are feeling it, falling asleep on top of their little plastic igloos with her heads drooping over the sides. Right now they're chasing an ice cube around the sink.
I hate this. I don't live in Canada so I can sweat, fer crying out loud.
I'll have to shut this computer down before it heats up the place even more. I'll post again in November.

Actually it's been rather nice in Chicago the past few weeks - which is odd for July. Usually it's 80 and humid. drink lots of water. Is there a lake or a pool you can go swimming in? That usually helps me cool down. That or a cool bath.
I think you guys out west get it even worse than the east coast in terms of crazy highs and lows; I remember being in Saskatoon in the winter at -25(-40 with windchill) and then in the summer at +40. It's brutal. Take lots of showers and live in the dark. And for what, only a few months of the year....it's nutty.
It's crazy. Fortunately there are a lot of wading pools to dip our feet in and a few air-conditioned places downtown.
