Swiped from my mom. Quite a few people have done this, including Squirl and Wandering Coyote, but I'm only doing half 'cause I didn't like most of the actors on the first half. You're supposed to name the movie you most liked the actor/actress in...trickier than it sounds!
Tom Hanks: Toy Story, if that counts
Meg Ryan: French Kiss
Sandra Bullock: Crash
Keanu Reeves: Thumbsucker
Elijah Wood: Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind
Viggo Mortenson: A History of Violence
Will Smith: Men in Black
Nicole Kidman: Tie between Moulin Rouge and The Hours
Tommy Lee Jones: JFK even though I don't like it, Men in Black, and Coal Miner's Daughter
Jim Carrey: Eternal Sunshine again
Val Kilmer: Real Genius
Tom Cruise: Minority Report
Ewen MacGregor: Stay
Gwyneth Paltrow: The Royal Tenenbaums
Toni Collette: Muriel's Wedding, of course
Hugh Grant: Four Weddings and a Funeral or American Dreamz
Colin Firth: Bridget Jones's Diary
Renee Zellwegger: A Price Above Rubies
Kate Winslet: Hideous Kinky or Eternal Sunshine (again)
Emma Thomson: Remains of the Day
Alan Rickman: Harry Potter movies or Bob Roberts
Kevin Costner: The Postman (yes, I'm serious!)
Arnold Schwarzenegger: Um....um...
Elisabeth Shue: Deconstructing Harry
Kathleen Turner: Uh...I dunno. But I'm a Cheerleader, maybe?
Michael Douglas: Wonder Boys, hands down!

You SKIPPED Woody?!
I had a hard time with a lot of these, especially Emma Thompson. Most of these are actors from YOUR kind of movies. Don't get me started on Howard's End and Remains of the Day! heehee
BTW, we had to order Better Off Dead yesterday, as our copy has mysteriously disappeared?! Could it have grown legs and moved to Edmonton? Your brother has never seen it, and doesn't get it when we quote from the film.
Doug, YOU skipped Woody too?! After that rant on my blog?! heehee
L picked Zellwegger for Cold Mountain too. We both hated that movie, but she was the ONE redeeming performance in that film.
Field of Dreams??!!! PLEASE tell me that you don't watch that!!
Ask SME if she remembers Legend yet? ;)
Good answers; I forgot some of those! I change my Paltrow answer to Shallow Hal, and why didn't I use Heavenly Creatures too?! Getting forgetful in my old age.
I may perhaps have a copy of Better off Dead. OK, I DO have a copy. And it's definitely yours, 'cause it has The Goonies on it and I don't even like The Goonies. Oopsy-doodle. If it's any consolation, I have to get a copy on DVD too 'cause the tape is wearing out. :D
SME: I just saw A History of Violence - another of my brother's downloads. I had to think about it for a while, but I actually really like it now that I've let it sit a few days. Viggo is a powerful actor. Despite the gore, I thought it was very well acted and the story simple, like short fiction usually is.
Douglas: I forgot about Kate Winslett in Heavenly Creatures, which I thought was a great movie. But if you ever get around to seeing Jude, I highly recommend it. Disturbing and dark, but very good.
tshsmom: I saw Legend years ago. Forgot that Tom Cruise was in it...
I don't have The Goonies EITHER??!!
Hello, Amazon?
YOU forgot Heavenly Creatures?! YOU, who wore out 2 copies of this film?
That's OK, WC. SME forgot that she had EVER seen it.
Okay I'm adding Woody and a few other names that should be included.
Woody Allen- Stardust Memories
Dustin Hoffman - Midnight Cowboy aka Salvatore 'Ratso' Rizzo
Jon Voight-Deliverance
Sissy Spacek- Crimes of the Heart
Jack Lemmon-Days of Wine and Roses
Daryl Hannah- Blade Runner
Michael Parks-Kill Bill
Michael Madsen-Reservoir Dogs
Hey I just learned Quentin Tarantino working on another Reservoir Dogs 2006 production with Madsen "Wooo Hooo"!
one more name...
Harrison Ford-Apocalypse Now
Reservoir Dogs 2006 production is really a VG
Reservoir Dogs is being developed by Volatile Games and SCi Entertainment Group, and is being published by Eidos Interactive and Volatile Games.
The game will be released for Xbox, PS2, and PC this coming fall. It'll follow pretty closely to the movie's plot, answering cliffhanger questions you were left with like where the diamonds were stashed, what happened to Mr. Blue and Mr. Brown, and how the heist actually happened.
Weird. I didn't even wonder about any of those things. Who cares what happened to Mr. Brown?
WC, I have a copy of Jude, but Richard hasn't seen it yet...
Love the book, too.
I didn't wear out the 2nd HC tape, exactly; they finally released the uncut version, and I had to get that on DVD.
Hee, I LOVE real genius!
I'll have to try this. I love movies.
