Tweak passed away around 6:00 this morning.
She was healthy, happy, and hyper after her
brush with death 3 weeks ago, but may have had
cancer (she had a dark spot on her tail, and she
hemhorraged in her sleep sometime this morning).
Fortunately Richard found her while she was
unconscious but still alive, and woke me up so
I could cuddle her under the electric blanket
until the end. She died peacefully.
Tweak had two years of very full life, doing
all her favorite things: Chasing her sister,
couch spelunking, attacking toilet paper rolls.
She was everybody's favorite and will be missed.

I am so sorry to hear that, SME. I could tell she was very loved...
Oh honey, I'm so sorry!
I'm just glad it wasn't drawn-out or painful for her. She had a great final month, too.
Aww - she's pretty. Too bad the little sweeties have such short lifespans. So sorry.
:( sorry about your hamster. It's always tough when a pet dies.
I know it probably seems bizarre to fuss over a hamster, but we really get attached to the little buggers. They all have their own personalities, and we spend a lot of time with them (we're easily entertained, haha). I'd have rats, which live longer, but they're banned from some of the Western provinces. ;(
I'm so sorry, SME, that's so very sad.
