wednesday

I've been covering the ongoing saga of Lonely15 at Swallowing the Camel. Right now, Bree and Daniel are on the run from the cult, and Bree's parents have gone missing after telling the cult that Bree didn't want to take part in that mysterious ceremony. Bree's friend in London says the group is not a Thelemic cult, but a secret society, and has warned them not to go to the authorities.

And speaking of cults...After reading an excellent book about Princess Diana (Diana: Her Last Days by Martyn Gregory), I'm reading what I hope is the worst book about her - Diana: Death of a Goddess by David Cohen. Based on the ramblings of some dude named Guy, Cohen claims that Diana and Princess Grace of Monaco might have been murdered by the Order of the Solar Temple, of which Princess Grace was secretly an inititiate. Um. Okay. Never mind that the O.S.T. was established nearly two years after she died.

Nothing else to report today, except that Butters is getting very spoiled. I'm off to watch Lost.

Urrgggh. They've pre-empted Lost for a Dancing with the Washed-up C-grade Stars finale. Buggers.

OK, now I'm really pissed. Turns out the new episodes won't continue for the next three months.

I HATE the way the networks dole out new episodes of shows like candy. What happened to running ALL 26 new episodes, and running reruns in the summer?

I KNOW!! And then ABC made 13 episodes of some dumb-ass show about deja vu that we're all "supposed" to watch instead of Lost for the next 3 months. Fat freakin' chance.

THEN, when Lost returns, it will be on a different day and time! They wouldn't want to make it easy, would they?
Where do they find these network execs? Do they really think the viewing public is stupid enough to watch a show just because it's in the same timeslot as their fav show? ASSHATS!!

ABC execs, apparently imported from a different planet, TRULY BELIEVE we're all gonna watch their show just because it's on at a certain time. They're banking on this! Twits! I'm gonna re-watch The Prisoner or Twin Peaks on Wednesday nights just to spite them.

Was watching TV last night and i noticed that Lost was scheduled to start up again in Feb.

I want to see the movie "Queen" - wonder if it has something about Princess Di in it. I often wondered about her death - but that one book you mentioned seems like, woo woo, way out there!

Alright Doll; you got your TV fixed!! I'm happy for you.

Yeah, I hate to break it to you but LOST is off the air until Feb., as Dollface mentioned. I'm pissed about that AND because Prison Break has two more weeks before it's off the air until apparenly MARCH. This is the biggest piss off. I understand why networks do this - they need to keep marketing new shows to make money and most shows don't make it anymore - but for crying out loud - shows with huge fan bases like LOST and Prison Break need continuity!

Rant over.

As for the Diana/Princess Grace/conspiracy theory thing... Funny since the popularity of The DaVinci Code how everything gets back to these secret societies now!

"The Queen" was excellent, and it has some of the highest ratings at Rotten Tomatoes right now. Watch for Helen Mirren's Best Actress nomination...

The Grace Kelly/Princess Diana/Solar Temple theory actually predates the DVC by a few years, but anything "secret" invites wild conspiracy theories.

That...you...know...of...bwaahaha...

Have a great weekend.

Well, yeah, you're right. It could have been started in the American Midwest. By Bigfoot.

;D

Yes I agree with you all there. It like J and I watch Deal or No Deal and it has just started back up again afte being off all summer long. You would think they would be making new episodes while they are doing there daily shows to keep the people interested. J and I quit watching Lost because they kept running reruns. It seemed every week they had one goign so we said enough and started watching other shows at night or just turning the tv off altogether some nights. But in Jan American Idol is supposed to be back on, on FOX here.

I know, it drives me nuts how the networks mess around with times. I just get to liking something and they switch it to a different night on me.
I stopped watching American Idol when a girl named Lisa lost. I was soooo angry; I thought she was the most talented person there. I might still watch the auditions, though; those are always fun.
