Turns out the lighting designer wasn't entirely to blame for the all the confusion (see my last post); it's the stage manager. It's her first time in the space, too, and she's discombobulated. I think she actually tried to schedule a weekday rehearsal, before realizing it would involve a lot of pissed-off actors and some truancy. ;D
I think it'll be a lot of fun working on a Christmas show. The costumes aren't much to look it - everything's all Welsh and sepia. But the music is lovely (they have a harpist and a lot of Welsh carols I can't understand, but enjoy anyway). And I was struck by a brilliant thought while looking at the funky half-a-Christmas-tree on the set: We want to buy Richard's son and his fiancee a Christmas tree, but it's hard to find one that isn't skinny or pre-lit. Solution: Buy a skinny tree for us, and give them ours! No, I don't like to part with it so soon, but I'll know it's going to a good home, and we'll have a tree that's actually suitable for our teensy-weensy home! Doy. Why didn't I think of that days ago? (DON'T answer that)
Not much else to report. The brutal Arctic winds finally died down today, meaning I didn't nearly die on the way home from the theatre. That's a plus. I was able to stroll the ave. and stop at the video store, even. Someone finally had the brains to release Michael Apted's 7 Up films as a set. These are documentaries that follow the same group of people from the age of 7, checking in on them every 7 years. Apted says it's a pain in the ass to do, convincing everybody to cooperate once each decade, but it's a brilliant idea, isn't it? I think he just released 56 Up. For years, I've only been able to find 35 Up and 49 Up.
I'll be posting a couple of reviews tomorrow. Right now I'm just gonna have some dinner and get to bed early. *yawn*

Hey! Hooray for not dying!
*brings you some apple pie!*
That's what I'm keeping warm with!
You didn't think of it until I told you that you should have a tall narrow tree for your condo, last night on the phone!
You can have your cold wave back any time!
Miranda, did you get frost where you are?
Looking forward to the reviews. We had bad, bad, cold, cold, winds here too - snow - 2 feet in Saratoga. Brrrrrr.
Man, when winter shows up it doesn't mess around! It's getting a little warmer here, but it's still colder than it's been in the last 5 years.
