I discovered that a legally blind expert on house rabbits lives north of Edmonton and will be signing his book, When A Man Loves a Rabbit: Living and Learning with Bunnies, at the library next month. I kid you not. I so have to get a copy of this for Richard. He's been trying to train Sophie not to wriggle or kick her feet as she's being put down, but I suspect it's a totally instinctive thing with rabbits and can't be controlled 100%. She's very well-behaved in all other respects: Litter-trained, knows she's not allowed on the couch, doesn't mind being picked up. Now if I can only break her addiction, paper-eating...

Shes only a baby but you have to train them some how or else. Its just like having kids in the house. You have to teach them early on. But some days I still feel like I am not getting anywhere with my two. LOL... Well hope she learns quick enough for you. She looks like shes gotten bigger since you posted her last. Tweets.
Mark that event on your calendar! You MUST have that book! ;)
try putting tobasco sauce on the paper.
I heard that they don't like the smell of lavendar but that could be way off.
Sweet bunny!!
Hmm, well, I use lavendar oil at night and she doesn't seem to mind the smell at all. Tobasco might work, but I tried that on hamsters and they just searched out stuff that wasn't covered in it. Rodents are smarter than they appear! ;D
We just took her downstairs when the fire alarms went off, and she managed to jump out of the 2-in. food hole at the top of her carrier.
This sounds just as bad as when you are trying to break kids from sucking there thumbs and I have two of them to break. Its not easy.I have been told Tabasco sauce works wonders for that but my luck is that the girls would like that hot taste and suck there fingers even more.LOL..
Why are your pets always escape artists?
Tweets, you should ask Mom what got her to stop sucking her thumb. (and Mom, don't say "smoking"!)
I dunno, I think hamsters and bunnies are just the Houdinis of the animal world.
Alright mom what got you to stop sucking your thumb???LOL.. I having a hard time containing laughter here and I dont even know yet. LOL.
I have to say looking at the pix she looked like she wanted to get into something like a small child might look at you mischeivously. Looking to see if anyone is watching her. LOL... She is cute and precious though.
Oh, she's sneaky. She gets a certain look and I think, "Ah no, what now?"
I quit when I started school, as the kids were making fun of me.
Thumb suckers do make the best(or worst) smokers though. It's an oral fixation. :(
I bet she does. You know the girls do the same thing to me. Esp after they have gotten into something.
tshsmom I sucked my thumb and I dont smoke.LOL.. I have to say I dont remember how my mom got me to stop. I will have to ask her later while thinking about it. I think I just stopped one day.
At least she doesn't chew through chords or chew on the weather proofing like my buddy's rabbit does.
She'd probably chew through both if she got the chance, but I watch her pretty closely. Rabbits have an unlimited potential for mischief.
