Winter Reading Challenge

My Winter Reading Challenge list won't be much different from my Fall Reading Challenge list...

  • the last 100 pages of Gravity's Rainbow (man, this book really drags after...well, after you open it)
  • Wicked, Son of a Witch, and Lost
  • The Harry Potter books
  • Stephen King's Dark Tower series
  • The Cave by Jose Saramago
  • Naomi Klein's Shock Doctrine

I'd also like to re-read portions of Daniel Pinchbeck's 2012 before I review it, since there's a lot to digest in that book.

For now I'm only adding And the Band Played On by Randy Shilts and Insomnia by Stephen King (it's marginally related to the Dark Tower series).

Let it snow!

We have a snow storm coming today into tomorrow. 4=8 inches of it.. Yikes.. I hate snow weather when it first comes down.I dont drive well in it. I am not making a list of books for the Winter Reading Challeng this time around because I finished my books that I was to read except for the last harry potter books and I want them so bad for X-mas. I will seea about getting them when I get my money from my mom.. She is sending 25 dollars a piece to us. So hopefully I will have enough to get the last four books. Is there 7 books or six?

Oh my goodness, that's a lotta snow. We've just had powder here, more or less...I guess I'm not used to huge dumps of snow anymore.
There are 7 HP books. I don't have the final one yet, either.

personally, I didn't like Gravity's Rainbow, bored the hell out of me...on a separate note, I did read some of Neal Stephenson's stuff..(The Diamond Age) and will probably get into some more of him, too. Reread 'Cryptonomicon' and it was decent.

I really wanna read "Cryptonomicon" and the Baroque Cycle (I have book 1)! C'mon, they must be easier than Gravity's Rainbow (which is pretty boring).

I want to read The Diamond Age. I love steam-punk type stuff. :)
