The Gecko Ate My Baby
With the Winter Reading Challenge winding down, it looks like I'll once again be transplanting my list to the next Challenge. Man, am I slow! Actually, I'm not, I just get frequently distracted by magazines, true-crime paperbacks, and online weirdness like The Mars Records These are the memoirs of a man who was brainwashed into doing military service on Mars, killing people and aliens with his mind. He was age-regressed by 20 years so that no one would notice. His life resumed normally after that because his memories were artificially suppressed, but the military continued to abduct him on a weekly basis for some reason. Oh, and his wife's first baby was teleported out of her body by Reptilians. Yeah, so it's not Proust...
I live in the land of Estoty with my sweetie, Richard, and our cat. I'm one of those mature (thirtysomething) students you see in the halls, the ones who make you think, "Well good for her, she hasn't given up on life yet, although she probably should."
My goal: to become a lawyer
"All religions, arts and sciences are branches of the same tree. All these aspirations are directed toward ennobling man's life, lifting it from the sphere of mere physical existence and leading the individual towards freedom." - Albert Einstein
