Mildly depressed this week, that's why I haven't been blogging or visiting much. I'm starting to come out of it but I'm still a little irritable and draggy.

Richard wants to see the new Batman movie tonight. Watching a dead clown doesn't appeal to me much, and the last movie was just awful, but I should at least see it before making up my mind. At least this one has a better cast - one of the last movie's major flaws was Katie Holmes, who has about as much charisma as a carrot stick.

The Dark Knight is really well done. The Joker's character is fantastic, and it's a lot more interesting than the first one. I wasn't too thrilled with the first one either because I thought the scarecrow thing was just stupid and the character development of Wayne to Batman was slow. This one jumps right in and is more like a mobster movie than a superhero movie.

Sorry to hear you're not feeling so well.

The Dark Knight was excellent, though, as you can read in my review, it was a tad long. Heath Ledger is brilliant in it, but it is a really dark movie, so perhaps it's not the best choice for you right now. Agree with you 100% about Katie Holmes, but Maggie Gyllenhaal wasn't that much better. I didn't think it was necessarily her fault; she just wasn't given too much to work with.

You told me you were feeling fine now! It's not a good idea to lie to your mother. ;)

I am feeling better, thanks, but it's slow.
I enjoyed The Dark Knight. Too long and maybe a bit too gritty/realistic for a superhero movie in parts, but good performances and effects.
