If Obama wins, I'll know that even though racism still exists (and will likely always exist), the U.S. has finally overcome it. I will also know that America has renounced the massively destructive policies of the Bush era and is ready to move forward into a new one that might someday include - *gasp* - socialized healthcare. (I'm not saying Obama will be the one to institute it, but he might just get the ball rolling in that direction) I will probably cry if Obama wins.
I will also cry if McPalin wins, for entirely unrelated reasons.

I am assuming all of my favourite Tuesday shows will be pre-empted for this. Hmph.
That's for sure. I don't want to watch all the returns, either. That would just be agonizing. :S
I don't think that any results should be broadcast until the last precinct closes. I also think exit polls should be banned. Too many people like to vote for the winner, and these things sway their vote.
We'll be watching videos Tuesday night, and probably for the next 2 months while the pundits rehash everything. ;(
I'll be staying up as late as I can to see the results. Fingers crossed for Obama and a positive step forward for us all (hopefully). But, like you, I'm going to have a big box of kleenex beside me regardless of the results. God help us all if McPalin becomes prez.
I have to agree with the exit poll thing. I suspect it does influence some people - maybe not a lot, but it could be enough to make a difference. Not good.
LOL I so hear you.
