Requiescat in Pace Patrick Mcgoohan (1928-2009)

I just learned that Irish actor Patrick Mcgoohan, who played the eponymous prisoner in one of my favoritest TV series of all time, The Prisoner, passed away on January 13th. Be seeing you.
On this day in 1965, Winston Churchill died. And in 1989 Ted Bundy was executed (I remember folks wearing "Burn Bundy Burn" T-shirts). Frankly, I don't care if those guys R.I.P or not.

Ohhhhh, what a loss!! That voice...those eyes...*sigh*...

The Prisoner was OK, but I was a HUGE fan of Secret Agent when I was in grade school. Johnny Rivers' theme song for the show is still one of my favorite songs.

The guy who I respect the most when it comes to television taste was a huge fan of The Prisoner. So was Iron Maiden. One of these days...

I didn't know until last night when I was watching the Memoriam on Screen Actors Awards...I was going to try to find their memorial montages on line today to post...

Great picture and I love him too...loved The Prisoner...and I've often thought of getting it on dvd. It is an influence of sots to the tv show LOST.

Definitely an influence on LOST, but it has its very own something special. I bought the DVDs a few years ago and have watched the whole series twice, it's so good.

It is a loss, eh? Like Tshsmom, I adored Patrick McGoohan and loved the voice. Secret Agent was the best. Didn't like The Prisoner much.
