pizza, hexadecimals, etc.

Here's a cool blog post about one of the alternate reality games attached to Lost, talking about interesting clues that incorporate passages from Ulysses (Irish lit is a huge influence on the show). I'd better catch up - I'm two episodes behind.

I've started eating small amounts of dairy again. Not milk, but cheese and yogurt. Tofu cream cheese and sour cream are great, but soygurt just wasn't cutting it for me anymore. And I miss real-cheese pizza (which is in the oven right now). I don't think I'll ever go back to meat or eggs, though; I just see dead animals where other people see steak or omelets. For me, having dinner with carnivores is like putting on those freaky glasses in They Live - everything suddenly looks much, much different but nobody else notices.

Check out my post on Mark Dice (the guy who led a boycott of Starbucks because the logo is too "slutty").

To be honest, when I first went veg I thought I would miss burgers and fish, but I didn't. It actually surprises me.

I've been a vegaquarian (I eat fish; basically anything I feel comfortable killing by myself) for 14 years now, but my workouts lately have left me craving protein.

I was having a hard time filling that need for a while, but finally got a good combination of avocados, cheese, beans, milk, soy protein, etc.

I seriously tried to consider eating some kind of land animal (such an easy way to go! and often a healthier alternative when eating at restaurants), but like you, I only see dead thing whereas other drool.

So few people seem to understand this.

It's very hard to explain to non-veg people. The closest I've gotten is explaining that to me, cow meat or chicken meat is like dog and horse meat to the average person: Repulsive.

Hate to break it to Mark Dice, but Disney's the Little Mermaid isn't very accurate. Mermaids are topless. That is fact. They do not wear shells over their hoo hoos, so deal with it Mark Dice.

If I were to be pissed at the logo, it would be because she has two tails. WTF? Anyone ever see a mermaid with two tails? I haven't either. The guy who made the logo was probably on crack when he made it.

Glad you're eating cheese. I could never be a vegan and cheese is one of the main reasons. I eat cheese on a daily basis. I'll buy a block of cheese and cut it up into cubes.

Cheese has a complete protein so eating cheese and you won't have to worry about getting all your Amino Acids because cheese has them all. :)
