World's Shortest Movie Review: District 9
The Bottom Line: Two different movies fighting for the same space. Starts out as a great mockumentary with a powerful message, and ends as only a slightly-above-average sci-fi gorefest.
The movies that I have to have to have to see:
I could watch that rose unfolding underwater over and over and over. I have to admit, it's way cooler than the giant butterflies in the Fourth World.
I don't think this is actually based on specific events, but it still looks intriguing. There hasn't been an excellent alien abduction thriller since Close Encounters.
It's disgusting, it's offensive, it's dark, and I must see it as soon as possible.

Ooooh, The Lovely Bones looks great! I have to see that one. And jeez, Peter Jackson is like half the guy he was during LoTR!
I want to see The Lovely Bones and District 9. The rest of these, not so much. But then, you probably already knew that. ;)
Lots of food for thought here. I had previously heard nothing but good about District 9.
To be far, I totally enjoyed District 9. I just felt like I watched two separate films spliced awkwardly together.
