Birth

We just watched the movie Birth. I have absolutely no idea what the @#$%&* was going on with it. Is it a horror movie? A love story? It wasn't compelling enough to be an effective mystery, not nearly touching enough to be a romance, and too supernatural in tone to be a psychological drama. It's a lot like Last Year at Marienbad. And just as plastic.

We watched The Life of Peter Sellers last night after Demi fell asleep. That was pretty cool. Geoffrey Rush was amazing, and the whole movie had a groovy retro feel. What I liked best was that the movie wasn't sycophantic and didn't try to make any excuses for the fact that Sellers was, until the end of his life, a spoiled little bitch. What is it with comedic actors? They do a few pratfalls, get some applause, and suddenly they think they're Laurence freakin' Olivier.
