Beautiful fall days here! We spent an afternoon hiking with a friend of Richard's near his acreage, where he and his wife have a couple of horses and four or five friendly cats. You read that right: Friendly cats. But then maybe they just hung around me 'cause I smelled like hamsters.
The Rez Sisters programs are all finished, complete with bingo-card inserts. I think I've mentioned it before, but this is the second Canadian play in two seasons that revolves around women compulsively playing bingo! What is up with that?
Richard's got a head cold and is going to take a break from the mural-painting this weekend. This is worse than having a little kid home sick. "What can I do now? What can I do now? What can I do now?" I have to keep him somewhat entertained, or he starts rearranging cupboards and furniture. (He actually moved the silverware drawer once. That was ugly.) Right now he's watching Midnight Cowboy, which I'm not crazy about. I do dig that song, though.
Earlier I was listening to Coast to Coast AM. This guy has a long-term budgie communication project going, where he teaches each bird as much English as possible, then records them to see if they're saying anything meaningful. This by itself is sorta pointless and weird, but now the guy is convinced that all budgies are clairvoyant and/or telepathic! He listened reeeallly closely to some recordings and thought he heard "Tsunami Indonesia" and "earthquake" and "Christ is coming soon". I heard "bwak bwak bwak", but hey, whatever.

Dumping your spices together was nearly as ugly as the silverware drawer. Get that boy some carpet to clean!

This guy should get together with Tipper Gore and play heavy metal albums backwards. They'd get along great.
