Booker sucks. Bookworm rules.

Kazuo Ishiguro didn't win the Booker for Never Let Me Go. Oh well. The Booker sucks, anyway. If a bald-faced plagiarist like Yann Martel can get one, it's worthless in my opinion. =D

I turned 28 yesterday, as evidenced by the very retro photo on my mom's blog. Not only did I recently find some gray hairs (white actually), but I looked at Angelina Jolie on the cover of Vanity Fair recently and noticed she has a lot of wrinkles. She's 29. Eeeeek.
Anyway, I didn't really celebrate yesterday. Richard was working, so I just had some carrot cake at Starbucks and played Bookworm (much-appreciated birthday gift from my folks).

Today, after I've worked on the King Lear program, I'm going to head over to HMV to look for the VeggieTales LOTR parody Lord of the Beans.
I liked the look of LOTR, but as I've said before I just can't make myself watch a troop of short hairy guys getting lost in the woods for, like, 20 hours. But I can handle computer-generated legumes prancing around and singing for half an hour. Go figure.

Happy 28th! I said it on your mother's blog too. :)

Isn't it weird that you were a baby once? I used to think I was born with clothes on when I was a little kid. I thought I was born wearing flannel. Weird how kids think.

I'm 28 too, with many years of experience. :)

Yeah, but you're NOT bragging, right? At least I got to be champion for 2 months. :(

Jeez, ZS. You're way older than me! I'm 17, with many, MANY years of experience.
BTW, I got all MY gray hair from HER! ;)

Happy Birthday. Life begins at 30, remember!

What did Yann Martel plagiarize, pray tell? I've never read his stuff, but I'm intrigued by your statement!

WC - Check out the link in my post, MobyLives tells all about it. I haven't read "Max and the Cats" yet, but it looks good.
