I know! And look at the knees; they're wrinkly like real knees. You can even see veins on the arms. Incredible.

His work is unbelievable- how did you find these? What's the story about them all? Do tell.

Someone sent photos of some of Mueck's sculptures to www.museumofhoaxes.com, wondering if they were real or just Photoshopped images. Alex Bose said they were real, but I had to check it out for myself...and yep, they're very real. Mueck left a career in TV/movie model-making, then did some work ("Pinoccio") for his mother-in-law, the painter Paula Rego, and never looked back. From what I understand, he has had no formal training in sculpture or design. He bases most of his work on people he knows, but messes with the scale. He did a nude sculpture of his dad that isn't much bigger than a Ken doll, for instance.
