Parking Ramp Romeo

10:04 PM Okay. Now I've seen freakin' everything. Our condo overlooks the top level of a parking garage, and on that level a guy in a suit has meticulously laid out a tablecloth, fresh flowers in a vase, and a tasteful arrangement of throw pillows in preparation for some kinda romantic deal. I'll let you know how it works out for him.

10:10 Now he's lighting candles. OMG. I can't stop laughing.

10:12 I wonder what's going to happen when the security guard starts making his nightly rounds with a German Shepherd...

10:15 It's really windy out there. His blanket might catch fire.

10:21 His candles keep blowing out and he keeps relighting them. I am so glad I didn't go to a movie tonight...Shrek couldn't beat this stuff with a stick.

10:24 Keeps rearranging stuff: Very nervous.

I guess this is one way to get your money's worth from parking fees...

10:32 I think he's planning to watch the sunset, which is strange, 'cause you can see better sunset views from about a dozen parks without having to peek over the Bank of Montreal. Maybe she has allergies.

10:35 She arrived! She must've walked up. I'll give them some *privacy* now.

Wow. That's the most romantic thing I've EVER heard. I wish John would sweep ME off my feet like that! Who wants wine and roses? Gimme carbon monoxide fumes and asphalt gravel in my butt!

Oh, I know! The roar of traffic below...pigeon droppings...the gentle glow of sodium arc lights. My heart just goes pitter-pat.

Funny! Reminded me of The 'Burbs, which I rewatched last night with my dad and brother. All those kids sitting on the porch watching the show going on next door.

Y'know, I've never seen The Burbs. I'll have to do that sometime.

Sounds real romantic. But yikes why in parking garage. Unless one of them is married.LOL...

The 'Burbs is right up your alley! It still makes me pee myself laughing after all these years.

So, did anything exciting happen after you turned away?

I peeked a few more times; they just watched the sunset. I think Tweets may have something, there - maybe one of 'em's married and they figured some grotty parking lot downtown would be a safe rendezvous point. ;D

Oh you MUST see the Burbs! Great, hilarious critique on Americana suburban sprawl...

What a let down!!! I was looking forward to finding out how the evening evolved...

I wouldn't recommend the Burbs, but I guess I'm glad to have seen it, since it's a classic and it keeps being mentioned everyone.

My in-laws are over for a month, so I have absolutely nothing exciting (or nothing NICE) to say on my blog, I am currently downing a whisky coke to give me strength, two days down, twenty-eight days to go...

On second thought, come' on own up, I'm sure you must have peeked, anyone else would have peeked, just want to know if everything went well considering he went through all these troubles of lighting up the candles over and over again... and when is the last time you saw a bloke actually trying to give a girl a nice romantic evening? it gives me hope...

Well, he does get a B for effort, and a B+ for originality. I peeked a couple of times, and they seemed to just be smooching and watching the sunset together. Security didn't show up, fortunately for them...

Best of luck with the in-laws!
