thursday: ambitious soybeans, e-tardation

Enjoy these soybean dreams from www.nataliedee.com while I work on a multimedia thingy about Freud. That's if @#*!
Windows Movie Maker will let me convert my files...it's effing with my mind right now, telling me I have to use some third-party service to convert and host any web videos. But the two hosting services they offer only accept the kind of files I was trying to convert to in the first place!!

Aaaaagghhhh!!

I have the reverse-Midas touch when it comes to PC stuff this week:

  • I can't post decent copies of my drawings, 'cause the scanner choked.
  • I can't post any movies from our groovy new vidcam just yet, 'cause I must download and pay for a .VOB file converter that might work.
  • What I can post: Photos, and more dim, grainy, 20-second vids of Sophie filmed with our little Kodak digital.

Total frustration. I was really starting to enjoy making these little documentary-style slide shows and whatnot (I have oodles of ideas), but Windows Movie Maker will no longer convert your projects into web-friendly format. Now I can still make them, but they'll just sit on my computer unwatched. *sniff*

OH you'll get there. Things will turn around for you. Hopefully they will get better for you.

I know things will change eventually. I'm just discouraged. Today I tried taking Sophie for a walk and had such a hard time getting the harness on her (my first time doing it) that I wore her out before we even got outside. I just brought her back upstairs instead.
