Kingston II and 2 World's Shortest Movie Reviews

We're having a fine old time in Kingston! My camera never gets a rest, because it's just so green and historic and quaint here. Yesterday we took a ferry to Wolfe Island, dotted with ancient stone churches and lovely little farms, and drove to an out-of-the-way sandy beach that can only be reached by walking a mile down a cedar-lined path surrounded by wildflowers, cattails, and massive oaks. In the evening we piled the kids and their cousin into two cars and saw a double feature (Harry Potter V and Ocean's 13) at a drive-in. How cool is that?! I haven't been to a drive-in since I was in footy pajamas... I think my parents saw Grease while I snoozed in the back seat.
Tonight we're taking in the festivities at Fort Henry, where guys in period costumes act out what would have happened if the Americans had ever attacked Kingston. Richard and I saw this a few years ago, and it's quite impressive. Not easy to win a battle with cannons and muskets, let me tell ya.

World's Shortest Movie Review: Harry Potter and the Order of the Pheonix
Summary: Harry has a lot on his mind in this one. He's grappling not only with a terrible threat but with a lot of doubt, anger and fear... along with the normal teen angst. The media and the Ministry of Magic have turned against him, so he must secretly raise a student army to battle He Who Must Not Be Named. His main opponent is this demented Betty Crocker sent by the Ministry to undermine Hogwarts (and she's way scarier than Valdemort, even without his nose).
The Bottom Line: All the girls cried. All the guys said, "Eh, the other ones were better."

World's Shortest Movie Review: Ocean's 13
Summary: They're still only hitting just one casino at a time instead of Sinatra's six, but it's all retro and somewhat funny, with a good cast. I didn't see Ocean's 12, so I can't compare it to that.
The Bottom Line: Not worth the effort unless you really dug the previous one(s).

I have never seen the Oceans first 12 so why watch a movie that you havent seen the first several of?? LOL..

Glad you are having a wonderful time. I just hope you decide to come back this way.You mother told me I would have made a good lawyer the other day. LOL.. I was making arguments on why you should come back through Chicago and Milwaukee. LOL.. It would be great to see you again. But I understand if you dont want to come back this way.

Glad you're liking Kingston. I always wanted to go there but only got as far as Belleville and the 1000 Islands.

I rated HP5 with 7 dead zombies out of 10. Definitely not as good as HP3. That was my favorite book of the series. Not a bad flick, just not one of the best of the HPs.

Ocean's 13 was better than 12, but not as good as 11. It's a fun movie, but I dunno if it's worth paying theatre price for.

Tweets, we'll be taking the same route home for certain. Not sure if we'll be making any stops, unfortunately - it all depends on when we leave. Richard wants to see his twin nieces, and if we get the chance tomorrow like we hope, then we'll be on the road immediately afterwards. If we wait til Saturday, we'll be leaving then.

WC, Kingston is great. If your mom enjoyed living in England this is probably the ideal place for her.

ZS, HP III was my favorite movie so far, tho V was a really close 2nd.

ZS, 3 was my favorite book too.

SME, you won't like HP5, the movie, nearly as much after you've read the book.
