(That doesn't really mean anything. Every once in a while I just like to paraphrase The Smiths for no apparent reason.)
Not much to report. Sophie is under the weather today. She won't even take a cracker, and that is unusual. I think she might have hairballs -bunnies can't cough them up, so they have to pass them instead. Too much information, maybe...
Anyway, I'm going to a vegetarian meet-up for the first time tomorrow. I rarely run into vegetarians, so I figured it might be a fun way to meet folks who don't think I'm a freak of nature.
This weekend is the one-act festival/competition. I'm not officially doing much besides working the bar during the awards reception, but it's always a treat to see the plays we've been talking about for months. Hopefully there won't be an entire busload of mental patients in the audience like last year. (A few mental patients would be fine, but 30 of them was a bit much.)
Update: Sophie's a lot sprightlier today, and has been nibbling hay. She's on antiobiotics for a possible bladder infection, and will have to be fed liquid food with a syringe every few hours. She might also have to go back in for x-rays if she doesn't poop today.
I decided to cancel going to the meetup, since Richard's working tonight.

Hope Sophie feels better. I'm guessing hairballs must be pretty icky, especially when you can't throw them up. Which is exactly the sound I awoke to at 1:30 this morning...perhaps bunnies ARE better pets than cats.
The meetup sounds like a good idea, especially because you were looking for ways to meet new people.
Can you use cat hairball lubricants for sophie? it's like a paste that helps them crap it out
Turns out that Sophie might have a bladder infection and she's on antiobiotics, but just in case it is hairballs she's on a special diet of hay, greens, and pineapple juice. I've heard cat-hairball stuff can work for bunnies, so if she doesn't start pooping soon that might be an option.
Glad to hear she is eating a little bit now. They are just like children when they are sick. She is your baby and you love her very much. Good mommy..LOL.. Only teasing you. But I hope she gets better soon.
Me too. She was so listless and uncomfortable last night, just not herself at all. This morning she was bopping around and getting into trouble, so she's a bit back to her usual self. ;D
come, Armageddon, come!
and it was Morrissey, not the Smiths :P
Heh heh, that's my fave line too. And you're right, not The Smiths, I wrote first and thought later as usual..Bigmouth strikes again.
