Well, Sophie's vet visit didn't turn out quite as expected...instead of recommending we have Sophie spayed, the vet noticed that the ear she's been scratching a little more than usual might have a bacterial skin infection, so I need to apply a special soap and an antibiotic cream to it every 12 hours. Which might be tricky tonight - Sophie's keeping her distance from me, just in case I try to drag her out into the cold again. I think this might require a cracker.
Richard's (early) Christmas present to me is a Y membership, something I've wanted for quite a while. There's a great new facility right down the street, accessible through the pedway that can be reached from the basement of our building, so I won't even have to venture outside to get to the gym!
Other than that, not much going on. I'm still reading House of Leaves and am enjoying it a lot. I wouldn't say that it's for everybody, though. It's...different...

That pedway sounds like a fantastic thing to have so close to home!
It's freakin' awesome. We can get to the movie theatre, cafes, shops, the art gallery (for now, til it moves back to its original location), etc. A friend of Richard's wants to explore the whole thing someday, just for kicks.
