Lentil Soup & Purple Plates

Just a quick post so everybody doesn't have to keep looking at the Penis Power clips...

Richard and I are finally just about over our colds, and now I can do all the stuff I was putting off. Like, um, taking down the Christmas decorations. But that's for tomorrow. Tonight I'm just going to do some reading, make a big ol' pot of lentil soup, and watch Paranormal State.

Richard and I were having coffee with friends yesterday when Rebecca took a thin rectangle of mauve-coloured, anodized aluminum out of her purse and placed it under her water bottle. She explained that these things are supposed to energize water, de-alcoholize alcoholic beverages, and de-caffeinate caffeinated beverages as well as heal cuts and scrapes within minutes, using "Tesla technology."
They were heavily promoted by Linda Goodman, and Rebecca's into astrology, so I assume that's where she first learned about them. Here's what Goodman had to say about purple plates in her book Star Signs:

"These plates have been channeled to Earth from the higher realms, through the mind and brain of a man who knew Nikola Tesla, and has studied his discoveries in depth, but who prefers to remain anonymous, as do many Cancerians of profound insight...
